Lets Make Funny Cookies

Here is a fun way to spend the afternoon with your children. I have put in a great sugar cookie recipe for you below. Remember..this is about having fun, the shapes do not have to be perfect. Let your kids be creative and silly with their cookie faces.

Lets Get Started

First we need to get all the equipment needed to make our cookies. We needed our mix-master, measuring cups and spoons, one bowl for dry ingredients, a flipper and a bunch of miscellaneous items you will need to create your crazy shapes.  Check out some of the things we used..., you may have even better stuff, search your drawers. Have fun !!

Sugar Cookie Recipe

2 3/4 cup flour, 1teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1cup butter, 1 1/2 cup white sugar, 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. (190 degrees C) In small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and set aside.

2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.

3. Roll out dough ~ and start creating your funny face parts. Make sure you save enough dough for the head shape.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes
