Each year the Canadian Network for International Surgery holds an Canada/African-Market in the covered courtyard outside the Kitsilano office, located at Maple and Broadway in Vancouver.
This year, 25 African artisans, vendors, chefs and performers, representing more than a dozen African countries, as well as many NGOs working in Africa will participate. Children of all ages are encouraged to take part in our crafts and games. A silent auction will be held to raise funds for course material and surgical equipment.
We invite people to come and experience Africa- its beauty, diversity and some of its challenges – while supporting CNIS in our mission to teach life-saving surgical skills, enabling African practitioners to prevent suffering and the deaths of millions each year.
