Cause & Effect

We know our shopping habits don't exactly reduce our carbon footprint. So we're always thrilled to find designers and retailers who donate a significant portion of their proceeds to worthy causes. The Community Collection is our newest resource for finding such fashionable and noble goods. A shopping site that give back! A-MAZING!

This new e-commerce website offers limited-edition collections from big-name labels--Helmut Lang, Theory, Tibi and Diane von Furstenberg, to name a few--with 20 percent of every sale going to that designer's favorite charity. So every Alexis Bittar purchase, for instance, supports Flying Kites Global (which works to improve the living conditions of Kenyan children), while buying from Inhabit means a donation to the World Wildlife Fund. So far they've raised over $500 and the goal is about $2,000.

Pure Wow
Plus, as you would expect from such high-end fashion houses, the offerings are pretty darn covetable. We're loving the Alexander Wang Silver Zip sunglasses (assisting American service members) and the ADAM cardigan, (supports American Cancer Society), but Cut25's Ikat Slice dress (goes toward a children's medical charity!) which is definitely our pick for the most exciting and versatile wardrobe addition.

Now if only we knew a term for the opposite of buyer's remorse.
