Tot Talk: Children say the the Darndest things

Don't you think kids say the funny things? Well when your children do you've got to write them down quick because you will never think of it again. You'll end up with all sorts of scrap paper with hilarious quotes and no where to put them. When my kids where kids, I started a funny jar. It held everything! Another great one is the book by Chronicle Books; My Quotable Kid. What a keepsake! Did your children ever say anything outrageous?

A kindergarten student told his teacher he'd found a cat, but the cat was dead. "How did you know that the cat was dead?" she asked the student. "Because I pissed in its ear and it didn't move," answered the child so innocently. "You did WHAT?!?" the teacher exclaimed in surprise. "You  know, explained the child, "I leaned over and went "psssst!" and it didn't move."

A 6 year old, her 1st grade teacher asked if anyone in the class knew what an ambassador was? The 6 year old held up her hand and said, "Yes, that's what my mom calls my dad when they are fighting.

Announcing to daughter Carla that her aunt just had a baby and it looked like her uncle, she said, "You mean he has a mustache?"

Here is one of the reasons we should teach our children proper terminology (my personal favorite!)...

A little girl goes to the barber shop with her father. She stands next to the barber chair, while her dad gets hes hair cut, eating a snack cake. The barber says to the little girl, " Sweetheart, your going to get hair all over your Twinkie." The little girl says, " Yes, I know, and I'm gonna to get boobs too."

  1. Haha that's hilarious! I like the ambassador joke. Too funny!

  2. Thanks Jessica, sounds like it added a little laughter to your day.
