Have you ever wanted to make your own tiered glass plate tray? Here are some simple instructions to make a tray for your home.
I turned my plates upside down and used it for serving bread, I like it way better this way. |
You will need, E-6000 Glue, your choice of glasses or glass candle sticks and..,
your choice of plates. You can use glass beads or anything you would like to put inside your glasses or leave the glass clear.
I have a cookie exchange with a few girl-friends this Friday. I decided to make butter-tarts (so quick-recipe below). I was so excited to use my tiered glass tray. Are you in a cookie exchange this year? what did you make?
Butter Tart Recipe:
Store bought tart shells, 1 cup butter (whip it) add 1 cup brown sugar (whip it into the butter) add 1 cup honey or corn syrup (continue to whip these ingredients) add 1 teaspoon vanilla & salt, and add 2 eggs (mix very well) and now "stir" in your raisins. scoop teaspoons of mixture into the tart shells and place in the 350' oven for 15 -20 minutes, until golden brown. Yum!! makes about 48 tarts or more.
