Friends and I tried to figure out a birthday theme for a 3 year old little girl who's not so girlie. We decided to decorate the back yard into a camping theme. We put a blue tarp (the pond) on the ground and decorated the pond with pinecones and plants. We placed her presents around the pond: a sleeping bag and camp chair, a lantern, a talking chickmonk and a fishing rod with fish attached. We also made a real fire too and cook hotdogs. We decide not to wrap all of the gifts, instead we set her gifts up in the yard. This was a such a wonderful day and the birthday girl was so excited, she couldn't wait to get outside and start fishing.
The Cake: This was a huge hit!! The party just kept getting better and...,
better!!
One of the guests made this fabulous campfire cake, doesn't it look amazing?!! Everyone who attended the party brought campfire related food. We had hotdogs, hamburgers, trail mix, smores and hot-chocolate.
I think the campfire party was a great success. A very fun day with lots of wonderful friends and family.
