Children love to pick flowers. Spring is the perfect time for going outside to smell the flowers and perhaps picking a few. Lets make our own arrangement...Yeah!!
Once you have your flowers, it's time to choose a vase. Let your child be creative by letting him or her arranging the flowers the way they want. Teach your child how to strip each stem of any foliage that will touch the water (add the leaf foliage to the water in the vase for an even softer touch). Adults can help to cut the stem heights, place your longest flowers in the vase last. Keep adding flowers until you are satisfied with your beautiful arrangement. Your kids will love this activity.
